would have looked cooler, if you'd have planed the wood panals down to about half a mm, so that the light can barely shine through, but that would be a huge waste...
great project though!

Ha! It's like I have a woodworking twin on the other side of the country. I'm not as forthcoming with my mistakes though. Handsome little lamp and well worth the extra effort.
My wife is a knitter and when she makes a knitting mistake and has to unravel her work to the point of the mistake she calls it 'frogging'. I hate to think of all the projects I've had to 'frog'. I have one now as a matter of fact.
Great channel. Glad I stumbled upon it.

what i would do if i was you is use small pieces of wood to cover the screws to make it look better

@myfaceback100 That would totally work, as long as your magnets are strong enough. Great idea!

I think if I ever made a lamp like this, I would put rice paper in the spaces. My mother who was Japanese, would have loved it. And I love your videos and your mistakes. Just shows you are just normal (well, somewhat, lol) and I am just a beginner at wooodworking so I make a lot of mistakes. Some of which are happy accidents, because it turns out to be okay....

@ladyb003 Yeah, I thought about something like that. Another option would be to add some frosted plexiglass.
