Death is really annoying in Julius Mode. First of all, you want to use Alucard for most of the battle. Especially for his first form. Once you've gotten to his second form, use Yoko to spam lightning balls and then change back to Alucard again to finish this.

  • Awesome, thanks for the video. I was able to easily memorize his movements and your responses from watching it once and went back in and won easily. Onto Abaddon...

  • You truly are impressive, even I didn't beat him without getting hit. This was most challenging boss in Julius mode for me.

  • Alucard: Whats up Death~~

Death: wtf? isn't this Julius Mode? where's Julius?

Alucard: I aksed him to sit back and enjoy the show while i kick your ass again like i did in SotN :D

  • Am I the only one who thinks Yoko is hot?

  • That was amazing 0_0

I'd NEVER be able to defeat Death with no damage Dx

  • The tricky thing is when Abaddon sends the locusts straight across horizontally. It goes real fast so you'd only have a moment to get bat-Alucard in the right place.

So for that attack, I think it's easier to do Alucard's special strike (teleport slashes) just before the locusts hit you. It'll get you out of harm's way for long enough.

  • I'll keep that in mind.

I actually tried a similar tactic in Castlevania III against some bone-snake-dragon type boss. Didn't turn out so well though.

  • If you're still interested in it, maybe try using Alucard. You can hover in his bat form to avoid Abaddon's attacks, they folllow the pattern he traces out.

  • How do you slide backwards when you shot fireballs?
