TM krishna is a wonderful singer. He has sung this difficult vilamba kaala krithi very well. Upachaaramu is a difficult piece to sing.

Semmangudi Bhairavi is not same as MDR's Bhairavi. Somu's Bhairavi is completely off sruti for authentic lovers. MMI is so velvet for MDR's fans. Same way is Krishna's.Thats why carnatic music is so live. Let us enjoy what he sings instead of benchmarking.

[ no offence ]its his way of singing.shruthi will not be perfect for any singer.it will surely go off.and nasal voice? dude seriously.....can you sing better than him? if you want to find faults with him search for his best song and try to find them.

PS: i am learning carnatic music.so i can tell i know a thing or two about it.

TM Krishna is the uncontested king of Carnatic singers today- first among equals including Sanjay Subrahmaniam, Abhishek Raghuram, and Neyveli Santhanagopalan

Do you think an Umayalpuram will even consider sharing the stage with him on mridangam otherwise?

Umayalpuram has seen over 8 generations of Carnatic musicians, and if he decides to accompany someone, you can be certain it is quality.

Wow, some fundamentals problems:

1. Off sruti (0:20, as an example)

2. He needs to sing a lot more delicately, with grace. He's shoving the notes out of his mouth into our ears (1:09, 1:34, 2:29, 2:37, 3:24, 4:35 and so on)

3. What's with the thaaLam on the hands? (1:53)

4. The facial expressions are just way too much (pick any second of the video).

5. Nasal (4:33)

He needs to take time off to work on fundamentals.
