Cyprian Suite - part 1

Columbia Concert Band directed by Michael Blackman performs the first two movements of Carol Barnett's "Cyprian Suite" at River Hill High School in Clarksville, MD on December 13th, 2009. Ensemble is an amateur, (mostly) adult organization that rehearses 2 hours per week and turns nobody away. Conductor is a student of Dr. Harlan Parker at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD. nice job! we're playing this at my school at the moment, its quite tricky because the phrases end weird and not all of us are used to it yet!

My copy of this piece has the wrong Key Signature for Aya Marina. Made it very confusing when our band director started getting mad at us for playing wrong notes. But over all an amazing piece of music love the unique sounds of all the parts and the story it tells.
