LO SOUND DESERT is a feature rock documentary about this specific sub-genre of rockmusic and its underground spread and variations until today:
There's a whole bunch of interchangeable terms that try to catch its genres' attitude, -call it Stoner, Desert, Psychedelic, Fuzz or simply Rock.
Just pure heavy music with a shot of blues, "made by three people bleeding through their instruments."

Throughout the years it always seemed a hidden as underground genre, 

but in fact it's been highly influential on today's modern hard rock culture and attitude. 

Bands like Across The River, Fatso Jetson and Yawning Man
passed the key note to today's well known bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss:




This is a film about the desert scene itself,
from the early beginning to what it has become nowadays,
from the early LA punk influence through SST Records to distributing on major labels,

from cramped garage rehearsals to dusty generator outdoors parties
- 
narrated by some of the main protagonists:
Josh Homme, Brant Bjork, Alfredo Hernandez, Mario Lalli and many more.

ok can somebody please tell me is this documentary released  or what? i check out the official facebook and myspace site and found no information about release date (it suppose to be allready out in 2010). can please somebody give me some information where or how can i watch/download this film.i don't have facebook or myspace profile :) so i am asking here!

ok, tnx for the answer, btw i watched some of your work, and i must admit that i love it. can't wait for lo sound desert documentary, it is great idea for making such film about "palm desert scene". i personally am a big fan of stoner/desert/whatever rock/metal , and have a chance to see live brant bjork, yawning man,truckfighters, karma to burn, and looking forward to see kyuss lives this weekand in budapest! keep up the good work, and wish u luck in negociating :) cheers from cro XD

Night-time desert is the most primal & purest environment for creating noise, especially for rock of this genre. Who needs a roof and seats?

Memories of wood pallets, amps, generators, bon fires, kegs & etc. back in my h.s. days, class-80, at an area known as 'White Gates', out in the boonies east of El Paso, TX.

There was a band of locals, Nemesis, that used to cover A LOT of Bon Scott era AC/DC (the only one that matters, btw).

Great to see the natural venue movement is strong. \m/ \b/
