Digging in Roman Britain - The presenter has traveled to the south of England in the field season of 2008 in order to participate in an archaeological field school. Conducted by the University of Reading, the project is known as the "Silchester Town Life Project" and focuses on the development of a Roman administrative center from its Iron Age roots to its mysterious abandonment after the withdrawal of the Romans from the British Isles. The presentation will focus mostly on the project itself and the experiences of the presenter as he went through the field school and what he learned.
