Mayor Boughton flip-flops on his word while accusing Dems of playing politics

In 2009, during the Charter Revision process, Mayor Boughton suggested that the council send his nomination of Legislative Assistant to an ad-hoc committee in order to question the candidate prior to voting on the nominee.

Fast forward to 2011 and the same mayor not only goes back on his word, he accuses the Democrats on the council of playing politics for sending his nominee to an ad-hoc committee, while knowingly violating the charter by chastising the Democrats after the item was send to ad-hoc (a violation of Robert's Rules of Order).

The position of Legislative Assistant was never posted and other members of the public weren't given an opportunity to apply for the position...this entire matter is a case where the mayor is appointing a loyal subject (Jean Natale) for the position.
