Another version of the well known German folksong about the mermaid of the homonymous rock on the river Rhine ( Die Lorelai: song by Heinrich Heine 1799-1852, music by Friedrich Silcher 1789-1860). But this time "Die Lorelei" is in "Son@Da per Trio" setting, developing/interweaving in the movements/paintings/SHEren performances' dresses and objects by Laura Cristin in her studio of Bagnaria Arsa (Udine), around Venice Carnival, sung a cappella by Dorothea Fayne (mezzo soprano), thinking, in the pauses between the three strophes, at the music by Dario Della Rossa (composer and pianist).
Video still as SHEren as "La maya desnuda" (1789-1805) by Francisco Goya (Madrid, Museo del Prado).
Pieces of art by Laura Cristin (from left to right): SHEren costume (2003), dolpHEn (painting, 2003), MySELF nr. 7 (identity as bust-pillow filled with feathers, 1998), oisEAU (painting, 1998), mermaid tail (fluke and wings as SHEren for Andersen's 250th birthday anniversary, 2005), Wave (veil with fishes on Dorothea, 2005).
