This tutorial shows you how to make a blend in Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate.
It can and most likely will work with other versions, too. ;)

Here are the images of Angelina Jolie, I used:

And here is my finished result:

Hope you enjoy the tutorial :D

**********FAQ**********
Okay, so in this section I'm going to post answers to questions I get for this video..
And I'll try doing this for most of my videos (if the same question is being asked a few times)

Q: What's a canvas?!?! o_O
A: Okay, when I say canvas, I mean the blank document in which you are making the blend. A "canvas" is a surface on which you do art on; I just used the term computer-wise as our workspace.

Q: Where do you get your brushes from? I tried looking everywhere, but I can't find any!
A: Well, I go to a lot of websites..Try googline these:
swimchick brushes
free-brushes .com
celestial-star brushes

Q: How come when I erase the second picture; it erases the first picture with it?!
A: Like I said; you have to put the 2(or more) picture on a DIFFERENT layer; that's what layers are for.
(I'll be making a video on how to work with layers for a better understanding)

Keep the questions coming! :O

  • Thanks for posting this useful video. It's really cool how detailed you were and how you zoomed in to show where all the selections were, and how you showed different ways to do the same thing. Awesome job. THANKS!

  • @ybemad - Hey! I'm glad you liked it! =D I really wish I had time to record more tutorials. Hopefully, in August.

  • How do I get my pictures to resize to 100% that aren't so huge? I try to paste my pictures and they are so big, it's ridiculous!!!!!

  • @2530jwright - Try pressing Ctrl+T, to transform it. =D You can resize the images once they are on the canvas. If you still have trouble, let me know.

  • thanks for sharing the tutorial video, better than any other tutorial vid i'd seen so far (its clearer and more detailed)... it's really helpful, hoping for more tutorial like this... =)

  • @IxAMxSPARKZ - Hi there! Well, you can just paste the images into a new document - OR - You can save the pictures (if you get them from the internet) and open them directly into the program.

To open: File > Open (Ctrl + O)

And browse your computer for your picture.

    Hope I helped. =)
