You should remove all of the moss from your orchid. The moss is used for international transport of the plants because it hold moisture really well, but now that u have it and have re-potted it that moss will kill it. Try using the miracle grow orchid potting soil ..it keeps my orchids healthy and they flower much more than they used to before i changed the soil i was using. Love the apartment updates thanks for sharing : -)

Ok, so this is random but is perfectly fine to have plants in your room. They would produce oxygen during the day or while the lights are on. The whole photosynthesis process happens because of the light ('Photo' means light), but during the night/when there is no light, they consume the oxygen as everyone. If you sleep with someone in the same room is surely going to consume more oxygen than a plant, so it is perfectly safe.

I love how they look,and your aparment looks perfect :).
