  • ...I know this is really late but are you saying that natural hair is only "work appropriate" if its pinned up or "laid down"? Why would it be unprofessional to wear your hair out in its natural state? Its kind of sad to me that you would post this, says a lot to me about how biased the world is and that you are feeding into it. Like several people said, every other race/ethnicity wears their hair in its natural state, why can't I?

  • @mowebster Hello there, Your comment isn't late. The video depicts one of the ways that I wear my hair to work. It isn't representative of the only way to wear coily hair in a professional environment. It is one of many videos that I intend to post on how the hair can be worn. I happen to wear mine both up and down. Nevertheless, no hairstyle should be societally-dictated based on texture, hence my being natural. Afterall, we are all individuals and will prefer diff. styles.

  • your hair is beautiful! Thank you for the tips!!

  • @DesayaBellatrix Thank you.

  • i've been in a deprssive state since last week when my teacher told the class that "ethnic and natural hair" are un professional. all i can say is thank you so much && ur hair is LOVELY!

  • @14ife

I agree with Sassymarkrep; and I am shocked that a teacher would do that. Please don't accept such nonsense. I hope that the sample of the wonderful array of beautiful natural-haired women here on Youtube reflects the fact that we all know. I also hope that you the teacher's exclusionary attitude does not dissuade you from staying chemical-free. Again, I am so sorry that you had to bear that.

  • @earthmotherfromnj Thank you. :)

  • @natnaija Thank you. & im still natural, i dnt think, i'll ever relax my hair just because of what she said, but i thought about it and its not worth it.

  • @Dkjames5

Hope you love it. I would like to see it if possible..SMILE. The think is, I notice that the tips (ends) of my strands are not as coily as they used to be; so, this is a good way to tuck them away and further protect them. Great point!! THanks :)
