A chronology of events that led to the decline of Armenian rule in the Republic of Armenia and the rise of the Karabakh Clan led by former Armenian president Kocharyan. In a short term Armenia turned into an isolated and monopolized country led by an elite clan of rulers from the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast of Azerbaijan.
