Space Cruiser Animation (by Gabriel Acosta / Jingle Fett)

Here is another spaceship video, rendered in 3DS Max 2009. The spaceship was made from a simple object, with the greeble modifier (3rd party plugin) applied to it. The total time it took to make the whole scene was roughly 2 hrs, not including the time it took to render. Most of the time went into making the custom texturemaps and materials, getting the lighting correct and getting the glow effects right. The 300 frame video took about 40 minutes to render at 1024 x 768 resolution, with 70mm IMAX settings. Thanks! Yeah, I don't know why it did that, the video itself is fine...I think it might have gotten corrupted as it was being uploaded because the original doesn't have that problem...

hi, may i ask how you did all that, especially the lighting and the metallic texture, it looks AWSOME if i might add, because i always surf the internet trying to find tutorials on excactly this but no where ever does, and when i saw this my jaw dropped about 7 metres, i'm still getting it back up (:

Looks very nice, except in the video after eight seconds its like a 2nd camera takes over at the top
