This is my good friend and fellow personal trainer Christy, demonstrating the Dragon Flag Abs routine. This was first seen in the movie "Rocky 4" when Stallone was training. The proper way to do it is the way Christy is demonstrating it. Your legs together and somewhat straight, not letting your buttocks touch the bench when you go up and down. Shoulders should be on the bench as you hold on to the bench. The lower you go the more difficult it is. I challenge you to do them correctly. I have been training my friends and clients to do these since the mid 80's after "Rocky 4". Good luck.

  • The Dragon Flag was invented by Bruce Lee , not by Stallone

  • I didn't say it was invented by Stallone.....we all know Bruce Lee used it first as far as we know, but Stallone made it popular through his Rocky movies.

  • i can do 3 x 5, with pauses between each 5, but no mather how often i try, after this exercise i can't touch my abs for 3-5 days, cuase they hurt so much...

  • Wow! Great job with those! It's high intensity and probably the hardest routine for your abs.

  • Very hard exercise especially when performed on the incline with 0 hip motion. Will not only kill your abs but also triceps and upper chest and back. Can only do 3 until my form goes all to hell and i start moving my hips.
