The Grid written by D.W. Gregory. Directed by Kelly Cates. Performed by the members of the Speak-Out On Stage Senior ensemble on March 30-April 1 2007 in the Christopher and Dana Reeve Studio Theatre at Imagination Stage. Cast members seen in this clip include Ian Terry, Luke Mastalli-Kelly, Katie Wetstone, Sophie Rosenthal, and Michael Shelton.

Set in the future, The Grid depicts a world in which a draconian immigration policy has made criminals of ordinary citizens and forced thousands of illegals and unauthorized persons to live hand-to-mouth, beyond the reach of the government surveillance. One of these is Joe, a boy shattered by the death of his younger sister seven years earlier. Struggling to live day to day, Joe is shaken by a chance encounter with a runaway carrying an unusual secret: an access code to a government database that can unlock the true story of Joes troubled past.

The Speak Out on Stage SR ensemble year long experience aimed at giving young artists a voice and a forum for issues important to them while strengthening their performance skills and ability to express themselves in various styles of theater.
