93 LX 2.3 to 5.0 Conversion. Stock block 302 from my 88 GT, GT40P heads(unported, stock rockers, trickflow valvesprings), GT40 intake(minor lower port), Trickflow Stage 1 cam, Mac longtube headers, Mac prochamber, and Mac catback. Dyno cell temperature was 101 degrees and at the time coolant was spewing out the radiator cap from a blown headgasket. I probably could of hit a little higher with better temps and a sealed head gasket but I don't think I was giving up more than 10 rwhp as is.

  • Probably won't be much more if not anything, the cobra heads flowed slightly less than the gt40p's. So should be about the same range as in the vid.

  • @samotrx7 hey can i know what ignition setup, throttle body, injectors and what kind of driveshaft and rear end you had at the time plz ?

  • @McTonyC stock ignition, 70mm t/b, 24 lbs injectors, stock driveshaft, an 8.8 rear wit 3.90 gears

  • Had a similar combo with GT40P ported, Cobra intake ported, TFS stage 1, 1.7 RR's, 30lbers, 373 gear Tremec 5 spd, LTs,OR-H, Mac Catback and. I went 7.60s N/A and 12.009 1/4 mile. Added 100 shot and went 11.20s@123mph and 6.9X

  • Sounds awesome, with stock gt40p heads the usual is around low 13's to mid 12's with slicks. Must of been nice running so fast with so little invested.

  • With this combo it was running low 13's on motor I tried to spray it but the valvesprings wouldn't handle it above 5k rpm's.

  • shit i have a couple of friends that have a cam, intake, 5speed and drag radials that have gone 12.80s oh and 4.10 gears thats not bad, i picked my 86 with gt40 heads, x cam, 4.30.s, and drag radials for 2800$ i would like to see a chevy thats 2800$ that would run mid 12's like my stang

  • can somebody on here give me an idea on how mutch power my engine is possibly making at the flywheel with this build it has a airgap manifold, comp magnum 280H cam, gt40 cast iron heads not the p heads, i have the good ones their the 3 bar f3ze cobra heads, my engine also has a compression ratio of 10.1 couse of the new pistons, and it has hooker shorty headers, that go into a hipe duel exhoust that is 2 and a half inches, the carb that is on it is a double pump holly 650, please reply people
