Rammstein - Donaukinder Intro (plus tutorial)

The intro to Rammstein's Donaukinder, from the LIFAD B-side tracks. Another example of Flake's keyboard skills. I was surprised that the sound itself isn't his own creation, it's actually a patch called "Telepath" on Native Instruments FM8 synthesizer. I assumed it was Flake using his ASR-10, given that we all saw him play a little riff in the same key in that video going round youtube. The delay gives it away though, there's no way Flake didn't use this sound in the track.

cool, thanks men! I found the "Telepath" NI sound file =D, I can play the donaukinder intro like flake. Thanks ;). I want to play fruhling in Paris, do you know the name of the NI file???

@Therammstein99999 Unfortunately the Fruhling solo is actually done on the keyboard you see being played (whereas it's only being used as a MIDI controller in this video). Fruhling uses the wonderful effects unit in the ASR-10, which has been bashed a fair bit by some people, despite being loved by a number of VERY well known names. So it's very hard to replicate outside Ensoniq gear, no one makes distortion quite like them. Plus the distortion is applied to s specific sample.

@Corvid the intro of du hast is given by another ASR 10 sound arpeggiator or what .. ? because the rhythm of arpeggiator is a classic trance sound.. but the sound is more difficult to make.. any ideas .. ?

@stefan0z Yeah, the sound is nearly impossible to make unless you're a pro sound designer! Basically, it's a dance house chord of which there is a version on basically every house/dance sample CD ever made. I'll send you a few of you like. However, don't be surprised if you struggle in the extreme to do your own version, it's very tricky to get it sounding perfect, there's quite a lot going on, and then there's a phaser or flanger (can't remember which) on top (ASR-10 effect of course :D)

hello i don´t know if you could help me, I have a esoniq ts-10 in order to buy, but the seller told me that if

you write something in it (by disk), the pc is not able to read with

a specific format, the same thing if you record a midi file on a PC, the keyboard is not able to read without, is this true? thanks!
