Wow. I am old. I remember Nya Nya the cat, the Wilson family pet. And the first time I heard this song as a young girl. It's wonderful to me that Mr. Wilson is still making music. I didn't know I lived across the alley from a legend!

Gerald Wilson's interview w/ Bob Edwards (NPR) bought me here.I herd a sample of "Blues for Yenya" & was HOOKED. This song is so smooth. True music appreciation. This legend is still playing at 92!! Says he eats oatmeal every morning-just like my 86 y.o. Mom

Absolutely great. It is fantastic that someone found these videos hosted by the late, great Frank Evans. Today, Gerald Wilsonis truly a living legend in big band jazz. This brings back wonderful memories of The Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach and the balmy evenings listening to the Gerald Wilson Band.
