The 60 year olds with parkinson's who'll be dead in 20 years? ( no cures likely for 20-30 years, if ever).

How about implanting the embryos? In 20-30 years they'd be young adults that could walk, talk, and think.

A single cell can be taken from an embryo without disrupting it to form another viable embryo. Let us call the original embryo Bob when it grows up.

Would you suggest that this 'new' embryo which stems from the same original cell, were it frozen, should not be used to help Bob live because it is capable of forming a completely new life?

What if Bob agrees to use his frozen embryo to help another person?

I like you. You're thinking. Better idea: prove that a paralyzed chimp can be made to walk using chimp embryonic cells.( good animal research.) If it fails, it fails.
If it works, said couple or family member can make their own embryo and by "choice", use its cells.

Knowing human embryology, this research is doomed to fail. It's promise has been exaggerated by a hopeful media yanking emotions by showing sick people, and abused by politicians "I'm for cures, you're not".
