Due to popular demand, I am posting the official video of my singing of the song from They Might Be Giants, James K. Polk. The video was shot from my digital camera by Ben Noe on December 17th, 2007.

  • This is AMAZING! I love this song!! I first heard it in my AP US class and I used it to study for the national exam haha. It makes my day that you sang it in class!

  • You're thinking of the Theramin (named after its inventor) which was used in several "flying saucer" movies of the 1950s, Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," and at least one "best of" Classical favorites album. Ah, but without having the facts I'd lay good money down that the Theramin is NOT what was used in "James K Polk." What they used was the musical saw, which likewise was used in at least one "best of" Classical favorites album.

  • so did you get a passing grade? lol I used why does the sun shine on a science test lol

  • i was just thinking that!

  • that's my classroom at a review session! I love it :-)
