How To Build Your Own Computer - Step 7 - Choosing A Case And Power Source Tutorial

You can choose any computer case you want, whether a very expensive one for its appearance or the cheapest one for reducing the overall budget.

Another way to reduce the cost is by choosing a Computer Case with a Power Source already equipped as long as it has the necessary power to sustain all the components.

(POZA SURSA)

Estimated power consumption of the major components:

*Power Supply -- from 10W to 60W
*Motherboard -- from 15W to 50W
*Processor - 20W to 60W and even 120W (depending on the number of cores and technology)
*RAM Memory - from 10W to 50W (depending on the type: DDR1, DDR2 or DDR3)
*Hard Drive -- from 5W (2.5") to 15W (3.5")
*Graphics Card -- from 10W (integrated video card) to between 20W and 180W (PCI Express)
*CD/DVD/BLU-Ray - from 5W to 15W
*Sound/Network Card -- from 10W to 20W

*Make sure you choose a Power Source with enough power and connectors for all the components you wish to install.

*For high end gaming stations extra case coolers are required.
