It's so ironic. The most beautiful of them all was so unhappy...today in the movie and music industry looks mean everything. And once again we see how many of today's "beautiful stars" are so unhappy. Clearly, at the end of the day beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And clearly, no matter how beautiful you are it doesn't come close to being happy!

@bigman32193 I see where you're coming from because she was definitely able to distance herself from that sexpot character in 'The Misfits' - but I think she was great in 'Bus Stop' too. She was still sexy but her character was more nuanced then usual and kind of sad. To each his own I guess!

I hate when people say she was a sex symbol and couldn't act. I tell them to watch "Bus Stop" and tell me that again. Her dream was to be a great actress and she totally accomplished it.

@NoRegretsNot1 The problem is not on the beauty someone has, but the lack of family infrastructure (or a not so good family) to support a huge sucess and look arround and not see a person who really loves and respect this someone. Alone in this world the person is easily lost and I bet they would guive all they have (or had) to have happiness and no fortune.
