@DJCooL4 The British had an oil company in Iran that they controlled and received a huge amount of revenue. However, Mossadeq saw Iran being influenced by the British and decided to nationalize their oil fields threatening the British oil company. The British asked the U.S to help protect their oil company and control of the area. The U.S painted Iran as an enemy even though they were our ally at the time against the Soviets!
