It would seem to me that they may have been under the influence of Carbon Monoxide. Sometimes the levels of CO and other pollutants when they start up prior to a flight. As a passenger out of LA I was overcome by CO.. and missed my plane.

It sounds to me that this is another freakin' cover up. How come can a pilot lose contact with control's tower for arguing? Sounds to me like UFO somewhere in there. Too stupid the authorities hypothesis and the pilots version of the story. Personal thought though. Hard to believe.
