A new Sea Otter was born at the Seattle Aquarium on 1/14/2012. When this video was shot on 1/15, the Otter pup was 1 day old.

    It had snowed the night before and froze up on the stairs leading to an upper baclony where I shot the video. Some groundskeepers were scraping the ice off of the stairs with snow shovels. I thought it was cute how Aniak held Sekiu closer and carefully watched out while that clanging was going on.

    Thanks everyone for your responses. Check out the video response I posted. Japan's National Broadcasting Corporation, NHK, featured this Sea Otter pup video on their show, Tokudane Toko Doga, which aired 8/27/12 on National TV in Japan. It included a clip of an interview with myself as wells as several of your comments. Thanks again for watching!
