  • In 1958 and 1959, I lived in Asmara close to the railroad that came up from Massawa. This is a narrow guage. Thanks to whomever posted this; it brings back a myriad of memories.

  • You mean thanks to Eritreans I guess.

This railway is rebuild by the Eritreans.

  • A good example of Italian Colonialism in Africa...

  • avanti Africa Fascista...Torneremo!!

  • An amazing railway!

  • Do the people in Eritrea have cars or civilization?

  • Persistent drought and a border dispute with neighbouring Ethiopia is pushing Eritrea further into poverty and increasing food shortages, the United Nations said. The small Horn of Africa country is one of the most food aid dependent countries in the world, with roughly two thirds of Eritrea's estimated 3.6 million people needing some food aid.

  • Some 1300 Eritrean soldiers crossed the borders to Ethiopia over the past 6 months in defiance to massive oppression and ill-military policies they face at home, Sudan Tribune rported on Tuesday citing the Administration of refugees and returnee Affairs.

WE ETH ARE GOING TO OPEN THREE REFUGEE CAMPS IN TIGRAY AND AFAR REGIONS.SHEMELBA IS OCCUPIED BY 25000 ERTRIANS .WE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF HUNGRY AND DEPRIVED ERTRIANS.

ACCORDING TO UN ,300-500 people /mth Enter ETHIOPIA.

  • awesome! i mean i didnt think the train was running anymore=O =D well not as far as between massawa and asmara anyway. when i was in eritrea i saw their "train", haha it was a truck who was the locomotive =) kinda funny.
