i don't know if someone has stated this before, but isn't it weird that only 2,7,8, 10 and 13 are represented in roman numerals?
Maybe the orgXII members with those numbers will have a crucial part in the story: Xigbar/ Braig- Villain in BBS; Axel - He'll be saved by Sora; Saix - If Lea comes back, it's likely that Isa comes back too (and there's still many things we don't know about him, like the reason of the scar/yellow eyes); Luxord - I don't know about this one; Roxas - Ven's heart

That's because (unknown to him at the time) Riku was the original choice for the Keyblade of the Realm of Light. But when he embraced darkness, Sora inherited it.
Riku is what Sora always wanted to be. He represents the power and confidence Sora always lacked, but obtains over time after his acquisition of the keyblade.
To counter his desire for power there's Kairi. The physical embodyment of Sora's goodness.
