  • Good on ya folks for carrying on as normal during these awful floods. Weddings went ahead as normal, there was tremendous community spirit and as is typical, everyone's upper lip went stiff and just got on with it. Certainly, there was none of that American style weeping and wailing, screaming and shouting. I hope you can all get back to some degree of normality soon.

  • On wedensday evening with the threat of servere rain United Utilities decided that the threat of more rain to the overflowing thirlmere resevoir was danerous so they opened the flood gates and let 300 million litres of water per hour into st johns beck that then flowed into the river greta and caused this go see for your self see the damage to st johns beck and ask your self was this naturally caused or man assisted destruction.

  • The reason the floods where so bad was thanks to United Utilities opening the flood gates on Thirlmere, Nice one United Utilities wonder if anyone will resign or be held accountable for this probably not it will be swept under the carpet.
