Regan's the one that started the bank bailouts with the 'savings and loan' stuff. He let the financial institutions know that they are just too big to fail and the taxpayer will always have their back.  That's big-government Reagan.

Reagan's idea of closing loopholes: Put a huge import tax on Japanese cars so that their superiority in quality and price wouldn't destroy the American car makers. Big government protectionist agendas to fight the free market; that's Reagan's legacy. Oh, and giving businesses carte blanche to ignore labor laws and illegally bust unions so to make the gap between the rich and middle class wider. Why not cut things that are not defined in the Constitution as powers of the Federal government? Why did the Federal government do away with the 10th admendment?
