@shaky777001 [[He has had plenty of Chance to Get baptised and DO good Works during his life.]] Where they differ is where one believes the works are meritorious towards salvation the protestant believes that works are the result of the sanctification and the saving grace was a one time event.
@shaky777001 I agree. What is funny about this debate is that its designed to make the catholic church appear biblical, which it is not. The debate really should focus on doctrines that are clearly heretical. Like Mary being co-redemptrix w/ Chris, or the doctrine of transubstantiation, or that the pope if Vicar of Christ and deserves political and religio authority on all matters? These are the doctrines which the reformers died for. Protestantism has changed, not Catholicism.
They are both Right!! If a man makes a decision to believe in Christ by Grace Through Faith ''TODAY''. Then dies Tomorrow before he has had Chance to be baptised or do any good works. His faith Alone is counted Righteous and is SAVED.
Now if another Man makes a decision to believe in Christ TODAY. Then Lives for 10 years and dies> He has had plenty of Chance to Get baptised and DO good Works during his life.
By Grace Through his Faith+Works is counted Righteous and is SAVED.
So what is the Rule ? If you attend the Catholic Mass , you obey the Church Law, and respect the People, who are the Body of Christ. When you have a fellowship of Born Again Worship, that has it's Rule, in the Assembly of Saints and you attend, you obey the rule of that Congregation. You are free to attend all ,but when in Rome, you do as the Romans' do, that being then the Good Ambassador for Christ, We all are the Body of Christ and we have Power to Make the Rule in the Fellowship.
The Protestant is wrong, because he keeps making a parity of the Law of Moses, with Church Law. They are totally different. The Church Obeys only one thing, Jesus Christ, the very Head of the Church who is Present and able to Rule upon the Throne, thus the King is ruling the Church and those who deny Jesus as Present and Ruling, are denying the Resurrection of Christ and trying to separate the Father and Son, to drive us back with Doubt, back into the Law of Moses, Church Law is not Mosaic Law.
I say over and over, the Bible does not bear up the Law, Jesus does. Whatever Jesus Christ pleases to think and do, that is now the Law, Whatever Jesus says, If Jesus tells one man to crawl up the stairs and beg, then Jesus is the King. If Jesus tells another man, "Peace to you , go freely , you are saved" Then that has become the Utterance of the Law of God, What comes out of Jesus' Mouth is now the Law Everlasting, the Bible is no more the Law of God, only History. 3=1
Isaiah 13 and so forth onwards, show Damascus will be destroyed, a city that never in history was ever ruined. And with it Jerusalem, That is the Oracles of Ten Doomed Horns in the Middle East , all of whom are not Governed by Christ, not ruled by the Risen Living God in the Church by the Name of Jesus. They are damned, no matter how much they confess having no sins by the Law of Moses. They keep Kosher, they pray , but they will all die in one heap of ruins, before the Lord God in Judgment
Does anyone really believe the Jews will be spared another holocaust in Jerusalem at the hands of the coming nuclear war of the Islamic Babylon Conquest for the Caliphate ? the Jews will die in their sin, without Christ, and they will die like Samson died among the Philistines, the only pardon God gave was the strength to topple the House of the Philistine's god upon all of them, and so Jerusalem is a doomed a city as Damascus, Jesus is God, the only Law is whatever He tells you !!!
If you say the Bible is the Law, then the Bible requires you to stone Adulterers and kill all the Amalakites and their cattle and any property must be destroyed. One cannot claim to keep the Law in part and say they have not sinned by the Law. The Bible cannot spare anyone, nor forgive anyone, but the Bible has 96 Curses against the Jews and the Jews have been receiving all these curses without Salvation , because they continue to use the Law as Judgment and it falls upon them as Damnation
"when ever two or more are gathered in My Name" Jesus reveals that there is no such thing as "Alone" There is no private interpretation of the Bible, Even Jesus is Divine as gathered into One Place, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, seeing Divinity is a Witness of the Testimony of Three Persons in God who is One. So the Church , the Bible and the Holy Spirit are each a Witness, that only as rolled up into the Oneness, is then that God, Jesus is that God, He is the Law Himself
