@johnmartyntribute Thanks very much. - very interesting, John playing on a classical guitar!
-
@johnmartyntribute Yes, it's me playing - I meant that I wasn't sure whether John was playing guitar on this track as the style is quite unusal for him.

The rain is pouring down here in Scotland while i listen to you play and sing. Another beautiful Scottish sumers day. What a brilliant cover. Thank you very much for sharing.

@banberry2112 Cheers, Ian. This is definitely one of my favourites, particularly of John's later recordings. Your video tribute of this was wonderful.

Great camera angle. I hate bar chords so I really admire how you play this. Brilliant my friend.

@cjwaywell Cheers, Chris - I hate bar chords too and now a lot of guitars have rather wide necks so I'm being forced to kick the thumb over habit.
All the best
John

*Great stuff* John. This song has a special nostalgia for me. All that album..somewhat strange ambience at times I thought. I loved that version live u mentioned (Island celebration in 80s)..always recall seeing him as that show ended..convinced he was smoking (on TV) a reefer standing next to 'Trisha' I believe-of talk show fame- and a couple of other women too...not like JM that, is it? :-)
Thanks for this and the playing info'...must have a bash when I can get some time!!-Ian

@ianmcgeachy Cheers, Ian, it's definitely one of my favourites - mellow, bittersweet - harkens back to his earlier stuff, at least to me, it does.
