BALOCHISTAN QUETTA as seen in BRITISH COLONIAL POST CARDS. Quetta:one of the finest hill stations in British colonial India;known by the epithet "LITTLE LONDON" was utterly destroyed by a devastating earthquake in the early hours of 31st May 1935.in this clip u can see the elegant residency were now the governor house is located; the majestic sandeman darbar hall, the most beautiful building ever built in balochistan truly it was the taj mahal of balochistan; then theres the beautiful bruce road now called jinnah road;bruce rd was name after mr bruce a British administrator who also was the 1st planner of the British quetta;then theres the pics of the much feared "quetta sphinx" locally better known as the "mum"; then theres the pic of the private parsi boot house; then pics of the stately railway station; then the splendid railway institute; then the sabzi mandi were now is mezan chowk;there are also pics of the quetta club; then theres the ancient quetta fort, includes 1 pic of the fort dating 1880 perhaps the oldest real pic of quetta; also included are the lithographs of quetta fort as it appeared in 1839 the v 1st image of quetta known';also 1 pic of a Greek bronze statute of Hercules an almost identical 1 was discovered at the quetta fort, a reminder of the Greek period of quetta
