It's strange how a large proportion of taxi drivers appear to be total idiots. They drive dangerously. Break the rules of the road which they then state you break and they mostly talk total rubbish.
Obviously there are a few good ones out there but unfortunately the bad ones seem to outweigh them quite a bit!

  • @CycleGaz a duty is similar enough to a tax, and people say tax discs not duty discs

  • @joffst It is in now way a tax, we should not call it such.

  • @joffst that's similar to saying 'PIN Number'. this is a duty tax... doesn't work.

  • @CycleGaz yeah i can see the ambiguity. So you don't have a problem with people calling VED road tax then, if thats what they choose to call it?

  • @joffst Don't worry, I know exactly what it is. You your self miss called it road tax earlier and suggested at the same time that it was for using the roads. Thus implying that anyone who pays it has more right to use the roads than others. Which is exactly why road tax was abolished by churchill.

  • @CycleGaz The tax/duty is on using a vehicle on the road, with the amount judged by CO2 emissions. I'm just trying to explain the logic why people do and should be able to say 'road tax', even though its VED and yes there are people who misinterpret it.

  • @vousden its based on co2 emissions, so electric vehicles and bikes dont pay anything

  • @joffst If the tax is on 'using' roads, how come electric cars don't pay it?

  • @joffst You don't pay if you declare that your vehicle is not being used on the roads. The duty is for you using a vehicle which emits certain gasses and not for using the roads.

  • @CycleGaz it does, you don't pay it if you vehicle is not on the road
