Filmed at the Zoo, Louisville, Kentucky, around 2002 or 2003. I've made multiple attempts to contact the zoo regarding Ruby's status, to no avail. Please contact me if you have information on how she's doing!

  • no treat no show... :P

  • lol this sounds so similar to how my boss harasses my female co worker

  • They're clever buggers. "If I go 'Hello hello' then those stupid hairless apes go totally nuts over it and I get lots of fame....Yeah I like gettting 'money for nothing'. "

  • @weirdfetishes5 in other words get rid of such a simplistic view and pay a bit more attention to the reality of current circumstance. natural selection is great, but most people in favor of it seem to forget that humans are natural too. we as humans have made a decision not to drive species to extinction if we can avoid it. but that doesn't make extinctions caused by humans any less natural.

  • @weirdfetishes5 oh, and keep in mind that if humans didn't "stick their noses where they don't belong" there would be allot more extinct species, because we also wouldn't have limited ourselves on hunting them. a good example being wolves in north america. not only did we stop hunting wolves for sport but we started breeding them to reintroduce to the wild. but in the meantime we have to hunt deer, or else they will overpopulate and drive out other species.

  • @weirdfetishes5 that particular bird was hand raised, it would probably survive a week in the wild, and would have no idea about how to migrate even if it did make it through a season. sorry but we humans have bred animals in captivity for thousands of years, and most of the animals currently in captivity (not even counting dogs, cats and other domestic animals) are from stock that has been in captivity for generations. that's not to say atrocities of animal enslavement don't happen.

  • I'm all for protecting and nursing hurt animals back to health, but think about it people.. birds want to fly. Would you rather live in a safe prison cell or your home freely? i believe in natural selection, and humans are always putting their noses where it doesn't belong, thinking we have the right to control everything.

  • @weirdfetishes5 Why is it every video of a bird on YouTube has a nutjob like you screeching nonsense in the comments section?

You don't even realize you're saying that you'd rather see the bird die an agonizing death in the talons of a hawk, don't you?

  • @weirdfetishes5

You're an idiot if you fail to see what are zoos for.

  • oh SERIOUSLY?!!? do you SEE the size of that CAGE!!!?!? open the damn door! birds are meant to be FREEEEEE! i LOVE crows and would never let this shit fly. damn i hate zoos.
