Ok, I'm gonna call this creation the B.S.B. (Best Survival Bracelet); "others are just B.S." ha ha ha no offense, it just came to me LOL. I create this video showing you how to "recharge" the B.S.B. (add fresh jute and reattach scraper after a use). Obviously, this is not intended to be your primary firesteel and scraper - you won't be doing this after every hike or camping trip I HOPE!

@zanethompson56 I don't sell them separately. you can buy blank steels online and cut drill yourself; you can make scrapers from hacksaw blades

have you thought about using jute twine impregnated with wax to make them waterproof and burn longer? got the idea from hedge hog leatherworks video that way its better prepared for even wet conditions

well once you remove the jute, you untangle it, "fluff" it, then take the scraper and scrape against the steel end clasp. By doing that you'll see sparks coming out, which will make the jute catch on fire. So you just started a fire for survival out of a bracelet. Very handy if you like to hike or you're stranded in a cold place. The paracord is also handy, since it's pretty strong.

why do u cut the string at the end why not just tuck it under that way u have a longer single strand instead of 2 short pieces..
