  • Check your valve cover gaskets. Also check the spark plug oil galley gasket.

  • Wow.

    I'm presuming a LOAD of cutting/welding.

Is there more videos of this?

Does it fit under the hood without problems?

That's a ton of power for that car but thats awesome!

  • We had to make a custom piece to lower the subframe. The only cutting beyond that was the rad support. It was needed to install the rad and the intercooler.

  • Nice swap :) . I will put 2m-ge hybrid (2300cc 2m-engine+7m-ge head) into my ´83 ke70 corolla.

  • Interesting. Any reason why you're using the 2M? Is quite an old design and it seems to me you're going the N/A way.

  • nice swap looks real nice but this isent the first.

  • Thanks. The only others I've seen started after this one. Do you have links?

  • I used to own an MK3 supra with a 7M and that engine is a beast......why go with the smaller 1J it has less potential and you really start to notice this when you start modding the engine......and they only have problems with the head gasket bc of the idiots that own the car.....I put down over 550RWHP in my 7M with an OEM head gasket and it never blew once bc unlike most people I knew what I was doing

  • @oscarlithgow Hahaha, 7m's with minor headwork can support massive numbers without even touching internals.. fuckin loser.

  • Some guy in my part of Ohio has this swap and this looks like his car.

  • @nleboe lol ya right

  • wow someone finally did it! 7M on 86

  • 7M's are garbage... (putting flame suit on)

  • sick!

  • @drgnzadiel101 I'd like to know that as well. You have a engine that can make 400whp on a bad day, in a ~2000lbs car that was meant for ~95whp. Might want to look into chassis bracing.

I'm looking into swapping a 7M into my FWD '85 AE82 Corolla. I plan on using a 240SX rear subframe and a Miata front subfame.

  • I'd be really interested in seeing how this combo worked. I've owned multiple ae86s and currently have an 88 ma70. I think you'd want to swap out the rear end for something stronger...maybe something from a toyota pickup or 4Runner.

  • obviously ur the one with the lack of knowledge. yes its a 3 liter but it started out as 2.8L. they put a bigger stroke in the engine so therefore making it a 3L. Dont have to tell me about the 7m. I own and have built a few.

  • @mkIIIsupras ah sorry mate its a 3lt single turbo 24 valve 2.8 is from the older supra\celicas

  • the 7M is a stroked 2.8L thats why it has the longer stroke. much rather keep the 7M over the 1JZ anyday of the week.
