This is a project I've been working on for my Visual Storytelling Class.

The requirement was to create a dream sequence in which we were to explore the effect of discontinuous action and incongruous visual and aural information illustrate an internal emotional struggle. [ 2 minute max]
Tell me what you get out of the video.

____SPOILER: ALERT!______

The intent: My intention for this video was to express the thoughts of a child who had been struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle. Upon being struck he suffered severe trauma to his head and was put in a coma and unable to recall his identity. Throughout the film he's running through the field (which is his mind) and comes across various objects that help him recall who he is. When he stumbles upon the last object, the picture with his parents inside it he remembers who he is again and it unleashes a flood of memories about what had happened. The final shots of him in the hospital bed show the reality of his situation and where he currently is at. The final shot showing him awake once again in the field shows the process is starting over yet again and that he is still stuck in the coma.
