Hello all. A new Edited Tribute Video for The Cure, with the track "At Night", originally from their 2nd studio album "Seventeen Seconds", released in April 1980 under the Fiction Records label in the UK & Electra Records in the US. Seventeen Seconds also appears in the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die".

I ran the audio through a remastering application & upped the bass a little, to give it a little more bite. The addition of the howling wind at the intro and outro was just a quick idea to try and set the mood of the video. Hope this is ok. Please enjoy, rate & comment. Dedicated to all Cure followers everywhere.

The album was produced by Robert Smith and Mike Hedges, with Robert writing most of the songs at his parents house. The album reached Number 20 in the UK Album Charts.

Tribute Video only. All material belongs to its relevant owners. Please support The Cure & purchase official material.

"Sunk deep in the night
I sink in the night
Standing alone underneath the sky
I feel the chill of ice
On my face
I watch the hours go by
The hours go by

You sleep
Sleep in a safe bed
Curled and protected
Protected from sight
Under a safe roof
Deep in your house
Unaware of the changes at night

At night
I hear the darkness breathe
I sense the quiet despair
Listen to the silence
At night
Someone has to be there
Someone has to be there

Someone must be there"

  • What a wonderful surprise this was when I discovered it in my YT mailbox from you, Fen. I have been away from YT for a bit so it made me happy seeing this and knowing you're still making Cure tributes. I thought you gave up on Cure tributes? This is wonderful. Just beautiful, my friend. Kudos to you, Gav for making another spectacular Cure tribute video. As ALWAYS, they're pure perfection. OXOXO

  • Sorry it took so long for me to comment. Band has kept me away from the computer.

  • ...this was really well done, nice extra touches....the upped base is a nice touch....I might get some hate but I always liked Phil's bass and production....the wind was great and The Cure is better in B & W for some reason....great job Gavin....
