The EU parliament has just passed a resolution condemning the serious violations of rights of ASHRAF CAMP residents ;article 7 of the Fourth Geneva Convention residents of Camp Asraf have to be considered as refugees enjoying protection under international law; whereas PMOI members living in the camp Ashraf have been disarmed and have been designated as protected persons under Article 27 of the Fourth Geneva Convention; whereas after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the US military disarmed the group and gave them written assurances as to their status of protected persons under the 4th Geneva Convention; called on the Iraqi government to respect its obligations under the above mentioned treaties and conventions and asked the US intervention on the guarantee of life and rights of Ashraf Residents. PRO-IRANIAN elements in the European Parliamednts such as Pasqualina Napolitano and Ana Gomes played a rifting line in support of Iranian Government and tried very hard to interfere and prevent a favorable resolution to prevent a Catastrophic Humanitarian situation. The pro Iranian so called members of the EP, as indicated in the broadcast of the EP site, struggled to improvisonalize questions and arguments to contradict the natural rights of ashraf residents. The resolution was passed with 284 members in favor and 48 against the resolution.
