I think it's great that UM is offering a program like this. The fact that children with special needs can get the attention they need is wonderful, and parents know they are leaving their kids with people that can effectively care for and work with them.

what a wonderful program!
in high school, i was blessed to make friends with an autistic student. he was one of the kindest people i've ever met--truly an angel--but he could be a little bit of a handful now and then, and i know how stressed his mom would get. this kind of program is such a help to parents and it's a wonderful experience for the children

This is an amazing program!! I have been vollenteering my time with children and youth with disabilities, mainl;y physical but as well as autisim and I know that the families just want so,eone to understand!
