Interesting to consider that this movie was made in the midst of the "Summer of Love." The Broadway version of this song is lovely, but its sexiness is nill compared to this.

Sorry but I prefer the Julie version, since I saw the original Broadway production. Julie had the pipes.

I know that the movie was not quite the Hit they were hoping it would be, but it's nice in it's own way. Did VANESSA REDGRAVE do her own singing? It doesn't really sound like her - but I'm not certain. Anyone out there know for sure?

Warning: This song is about to get a lot more run. Arcade Fire (for those not familiar with them, they're a Canadian rock band that just won the Grammy for Best Album) is using this song on their overhead video screen at the start of their shows (which on their current tour begin with a song called "Month of May," a tune I'm not sure I could picture Julie Andrews or Vanessa Redgrave singing). I didn't know what the hell this was when I saw it Saturday night, but it kind of works.
