BriSCA F1 Championship of the World 2008 FULL RACE

Worth viewing in HQ mode - it is a little bit better!

The complete race from my vantage point at the suicide position outside turn 1 - a few shunts and spins to be seen here!

The BriSCA Formula 1 Stock Car Championship of the World 2008, from Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich, 20th September 2008.

For the record:
1st: 391 Andy Smith
2nd: 2 Paul Harrison
3rd: H217 Ron Kroonder

Defending champion from King's Lynn 2007, Stuart Smith Jnr, came home 4th. His brother Andy regaining the title he took at Coventry in 2006, in a blisteringly fast race. Start to finish, 391 was not headed.

Thanks for the upload keeper, gawd must be at least 20 years since I last been to a race, brings back lots of memories for me. Moved to canada in 1978 and was a huge fan though 1970's. Nice to see the smith ladds keeping the championships in the family, I remember watching there dad race. was wainmann ladds there and how did frankie Junior do. this the only way can watch the stox in action now wish we had the internet back in 1970's

Hi whitefield4, glad you appreciated this and it's fantastic that you still follow the sport!

Frankie Junior finished 10th in 2008 - there was a bit of controversy about the start of the race which FWJ felt affected him quite badly from his grid slot of 4th...

...but that's racing!

Back at King's Lynn again this year so I'll be there (hopefully) to record the action!

in australia i went to the sprint cars and i saw loads of crashes

Sprint cars are the business, of course a much higher power to weight ratio than the F1 stock cars and particularly the low weight makes them really fly! We've had something akin to sprinters here but never really developed as a class which I think is a shame.
