A nice tip against the spear-wielding/blocking guys, start with a jump attack (L3 forward and R2 simultaneously) and then spam light attacks (you will mostly get off enough to kill him first time, if you don't, rinse and repeat)

One tip for everyone. two-hand your weapon against the spearmen. It will eat through their shield.

@coasteraddict10 I did this for a while, then I realized you can just kick and immediately strong attack, you miss the bonus, but it is very quick. Especially helpful if you're in Parish and have the spear guy and the two crossbowmen to deal with.
