  • @laspenasdelfenix Sure? The boogie left hand to me osund more like Stu. I'm studing Nicky's playing, adn he never do this left hand thing

  • @dandelion1967 stu never played live with the stones in the exile tour.check the 72 videos.

  • @laspenasdelfenix I'm cheking all the available videos, but as you can imagine no single video shows Nicky, as always, he is in the darkness at the left part of the stage. So I'm listening to his playing, with the Stones and all the rest, and both Brown Sugar and Sweet Virginia doesn't sound "Nicky", is played more "nasty", as Stu did play. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm talking about music, as a piano player and as a Nicky fan, I can tell that Nicky didn't play in this song.

  • @yeahnotsomuch1 and apparently Stu never, ever played a minor chord, let alone in a minor mode except for maybe once per decade to re-rivet the realization that all that shit does is produce insipidness.

  • @laspenasdelfenix Stu was road manager this tour and did not play onstage.

  • Definitely Ian Stewart

  • This is Stu. He played on the original recording and did, in fact, perform with the band during some of the "Exile" live sessions. This is clearly his distinctive style of heavy-handed, dirty, often dischordant, stomp boogie....especially his method of moving up to the 7th with his right pinky as he does here at :51 and also his way of banging out the same chord in triplets as he does at 1:51 and again at 3:23. This is ALL Stu. Love that guy's playing so much!

  • Ian Stewart, certainly...he did in fact play on several songs on '72 tour.

  • Ian Stewart my friends.

  • so cool

  • @dandelion1967 check the cocksucker blues documental, when jagger introduce the band, and when the stones played with stevie wonder.

    greetings
