Keith Olbermann talks about the Library of Congress who rescinded a job offer to Diane Schroer, a 52-year-old former Army Special Forces commander.

The job offer, for a job as a terrorism research analyst, was pulled the day after Schroer told her future boss that she was making the medical transition from being a man, David, to being a woman, Diane.

  • Thank you for reminding me why I watch Olbermann. I doubt anyone else in the news media would bother to stand up for the rights of transgendered individuals except him.

  • Holy Shit! Such blatant discrimination makes me sick. Why didn't this story get more exposure? Equal rights for all.

  • Thank you it's the skills and requirement, which SHE exceed by all, not the gender, my god some people really just don't get it.

  • I agree with Olbermann on the gender issue. Stop discriminationg against us. We are the same person inside.

There is a need to place the blame on the Library of CONGRESS. Who controls Congress?

  • If you look at Keith's background.....is it any wonder. The man has been around more people from more walks of life than most of the talking heads out there. The fact that he does not pull any punches, even with former employers [like the remarks he made about Bristol, CT and ESPN].

He is the man...no doubt about that!!Maybe he should be running for president instead of the current clowns out there

  • In fact, this glowing praise of the murderous exploits of today's supporters of arch-terrorist bin Laden and his Taliban collaborators, and their holy war against the "evil empire", was issued by US President Ronald Reagan on 3/9/85 The "evil empire" was the Soviet Union, as well as Third World movements fighting US-backed colonialism, apartheid and dictatorship

How things change after the most despicable mass murder of more than 6000 working people in New York and Washington on September 11

  • And this makes the Library Of Congress and by proxy, the folks in charge of the war on terror THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

  • Olbermann is right on this one. I'm wondering however, how he knows so much about this subject. Karen Olbermann? Can't be.

Also, I think Olbermann is right concerning having the best candidate for all jobs. Let's bring in that bear on roller skates, smoking a cigar to replace Olbermann.

  • I shouldn't laugh but...
