I haven't seen the "Dare to be Stupid" image you refer to, but "Derpy's Perfect Math Class" does not depict Derpy as being retarded --- she's "derpy": silly, ditzy, clumsy, and cross-eyed. Very much like the character Phoebe off of Friends (except Phoebe wasn't cross-eyed).

I can't believe the comments that I'm seeing here. I have a 7 year old daughter and when she saw the Derpy character she thought it would be funny to imitate the character at school which offended a mentally impaired child and her parents. I wish that people here could understand how this character may have a negative effect on how children view others with a mental disability. Calling concerned mothers out there "soccer moms" and other insults is very insensitive.
