Life has changed. Football has changed. Not always for the better. I'm not against out of towners. I'm against plastic 'fans' and bandwagon jumpers. I'm proud that LFC are global. EFC also have supporters clubs around the world. All big clubs need to aim to be global now. If 'outsiders' love our clubs, all well and good. But we can all do without the plastic bandwagoners who put on the scarf of whoever wins something in May just because it's fashionable to do so. Take care, mate.

  • @CalEFC25 haha swnd lad ;)

  • if were so bitter why r ya watchin r vids?

  • Hi Pembo,

You'll actually find many a LFC fan agreeing with you there. Sadly, this is the kind of 'fan' the Sky Sports, Soccer AM, Premiership generation has spawned. All successful clubs have to put up with these bandwagon jumpers. If/when Everton start winning trophies on a regular basis again you can bet your own club will find it has gained a merry band of these fair weather 'fans'. I started at Anfield in 1971, and I too despair at times.

  • what I couldn't continue, due to a shit connection, was that all our lives, us football fans are looked down upon as shit by certain people. We go week in,week out and they see it as sad, they see us spedind spare time kicking a ball about as pointless and uneducated, yet come May, many of the same people crack open the red and white scarves and sing the chorus of YNWA,calling themselves liverpool 'fans'. It is putting up with these gobshites in our city/region that makes Evertonians despair

  • In all honesty I think we are singing from the same hymn sheet here. Every club does have its idiots. At LFC we have our share too. Personally speaking, when I talk badly of EFC it's more towards the element you speak of in your post rather than the ordinary, decent fan. You mention education, and I agree. Too many lack a basic education on what it means to be a scouse football fan. You sound like a decent guy, so I'll wish you all the best for the season, well apart from when you play us. ;)

  • well really Im not arsed if we beat you as i believe you only have 3 quality players we shoul look to beat you every game at goodison not try and hold out for a draw. the game on november 29th im looking forward to think everton will win.

  • you've made some good points in your defence. I dislike an element of Everton fans tbh; you point to the obsession with Liverpool,it's beyond that.We seem to have an uneducated, fickle element, who go to the game seemingly to only slag off Moyes, slag off the bench, the board and make themselves look ridiculous with some of the shit they say.Every club has them, that's obvious, but when you see them every week,it pisses you off. Most of those sorts of people are likely to sing nasty stuff ... continued
