  • Looking back at the comments of zookat and oluwalogbon, I do have to state that they did at least acknowledge the effort despite some other comments. There are however some comments by some people on other clips that are really unnecessary, well they're entitled to their opinions.

Anyway, once gain, great show, glad Fela's kids love it and that it was well received in Naija last month.

  • @geola, dictators ke? lol, we were just expressing our opinions, just as the others expressed theirs and you expressed yours. I'll repeat the question you asked, are people not allowed to express their opinions freely any longer? Anyway, keep enjoying the music.

  • @gasdemup and @oluwalogbon58, in reference to oakjaz and zookat statements, are people not allowed to express their opinions freely any longer? The last I heard it was still a free world. Perhaps it was against dictators like you that Fela preached???

  • "gasdemup" God bless you my brother, I tire for some of our people, dem dey do like say dem like Fela pass im pcikin. Thankfully,Femi, Seun, Yeni and others have seen the show and loved it. Femi had tears of joy in his eyes when he went on stage to speak after he saw the show. Some people however just enjoy complaining, na so our people be. I saw the show when I visited NY in September, will see it again this month in London, it's a masterpiece.

  • @oluwalogbon58 bros i have read a lot of ur comments on youtube while i understand ur beef with afro americans let us not forget that if not for african americans with their jazz and funk fela would be a rex lawson ripoff. so let us unite as blacks that was felas message abi u never hear underground system na wa for you sef

  • @oakjazz bros no mind them jo no be america where fela learn funk and jazz con add am make afrobeat

  • "Zookat" and "oluwalogbon" the original recording of "Everything Scatter" does have the line da da doo at the beginning, rere run doesn't come till after the line about the conductor taking everyone to the station. The line was correctly used in the broadway show. I still have the original recording which I'm sure can be found on youtube I'm very proud of this effort by our American brothers, tired of reading unnecessary stuff by some on here. Good job.

  • @zookat i look at it this way: they are like the blind who want to see but cant because the fog is too thick to allow them to follow the correct path.. so they are not going to get there .. am just giving them this one.. lol!

  • @zookat its very unlikely they did not consult or study the source closely but interpreted it to suit their own cultural understanding which is going to be very limited and structured to American sensibilities.. we cant expect these people to be able to leap when they can barely walk they are culturally lost people so this small step no matter how wobbly is at least a small step in the right direction. i have my criticisms of black america but this isnt one of them.

  • @oluwalogbon58 I agree... praise the effort. But that chorus was the meaning and essence of that song. "Rere Run = Everything Scatter." So, if they trashed that, or didn't research the meaning of what they are singing about, then they were merely parroting it.
