Green Connection: Lake Lanier's Shore Sweep

This video is for a contest; the premise was to present an environmental issue and your role in making an effort to fix it. Georgia's Lake Lanier is a wonderful place, but it happens to build up a lot of trash, especially in the summer. Every year the Lake Lanier Association holds an event called the Shore Sweep, where families get together and clean up a lot of the trash. Sadly.. it only lasts for a few weeks, and then the litter builds back up, making for unsightly beaches! My family joins in the Shore Sweep every year, but we also give back to the environment by cleaning up on our own time. I believe there should be more of an effort to encourage this, specifically by the use of advertisement. We should be proud of our lake; it's our home. We need to be involved in taking care of EVERYTHING on the lake, not just our own property.

The song is "Sauvez le monde" (Save the World) by MC Solaar. I do not own any rights to it, except.. I bought it on itunes, if that counts.

My speech was originally in French.. however, I am a slight perfectionist and my accent was barely adequate, so I settled for subtitles. Enjoy!
