I'm speechless! AMAZING tone from that Ric. Admire everything about this video... the tune, your talent, the mix, all your material for that matter. Well done, and keep 'em comin'!

Your bass playing is definitely on the mark. I love this song. I have not heard in a very long time. I love that you also like Yes. They were the first concert I ever saw back in the 70's. Chris Squire is a fantastic bass player. He really makes the Rickenbacker bass sing. People need to give him more credit when it comes to bass playing.
and yairoka... a Rick is a unique bass instrument.... and using a pick helps to foster some of that RICK sound! Anyone who is a good enough musician to play a Rick realizes that it's the high harmonics that create the "presence". Bare fingers tend to muddy that sound. Only my opinion, but watch Chris Squire and Getty Lee (first 2 names that come to mind as signature Rick player)

This great!!! First of all, it's one of my favorite songs to play along with (and OBS) if I'm in a BASS state of mind. And secondly, I gave my little bro a black 4001 for a graduation present back in the 70's... and he's still playing it!
